Mom and I Danced Miles and Miles: The story of James and Kathleen Oddie
Whether it was at the country dance in Pincher Creek, Alberta, or at home next to the record player, James (Jim) and Kathleen (Kay) Oddie loved to dance. In fact, they danced from their first date in 1947 all the way through 57 years of a wonderful marriage. "Mom and I had the greatest life we could have…we danced for miles and miles." When a series of small strokes left Kay with chronic pain and progressive memory loss, Jim took the lead as her caregiver, holding onto his wife ever so tightly, giving her the guidance she needed as they took every step of the journey as if they were one; just like the great dance partner he had always been.
Tapping Into True Love: The story of Tom and Gertrude Kennedy
There are few things in this world more inspirational than seeing a woman’s eyes light up at the sight of her husband. To quote the German poet Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe, "When a wife has a good husband, it is easily seen in her face." If you were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Gertrude Kennedy's face when her husband of 70 years, Tom, came to visit, you would have seen evidence of this. Tom and Gertrude Kennedy were a remarkable couple with a truly heartwarming story to share. Regrettably, Gertrude passed away while this story was being written, on October 11, 2007.

As you will see, this statement relates to his roles as a husband, father, grandfather, employee, volunteer, and most recently, caregiver to his loving wife, Isabelle.
Home is Where the Heart Is: The story of Morag Whitfield
Home really is where the heart is; even if home is an entire continent away. As an only child, Morag Whitfield has orchestrated and perfected a complex system of care for her mother, Pauline, who is living on her own in Edinburgh, Scotland, six years after being diagnosed with vascular dementia. Add to that accomplishment the fact that Morag lives here in Vancouver, and what you've got is a story of inspiration, devotion, tenacity, and incredible organizational skills.
