Terms of Use

By visiting or using the ASBC’s Memory Bank website, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.  The Memory Bank website is a space designed for visitors to share stories, memories and ideas about Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia.

Acceptable Use of Memory Bank
Privacy - The Alzheimer Society of B.C. is committed to protecting the privacy of people whose personal information is collected and held by Society.  We have set up the Memory Bank site to respect the especially private information that will be submitted by its visitors.  See privacy statement (put link) 

Acceptable Content - Memory Bank may only be used for lawful purposes.  You may not create or post data, suggestions, comments, questions, pictures, videos that are i) in violation of any law, ii) infringes the intellectual property rights of others or violates the privacy of others, iii) defamatory, obscene, objectionable, threatening or otherwise injurious to third parties, and iv) consists of or contains software viruses, political campaign or advocacy messages, commercial solicitation, chain letters, mass mailings or any form of “spam”. 

“Bots”, hacking and other applications – Users of Memory Bank agree not to use any web robots, web crawlers, data mining, or similar applications to submit links, post on, gather and extract data from, or otherwise use the Memory Bank site. 

Content Removal and Termination – The Alzheimer Society of B.C. reserves the right, but not the obligation to remove or edit any content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.  The permission to access and use Memory Bank will automatically terminate if you are in breach of any of these Terms.  The Alzheimer Society of B.C. reserves the right at its sole discretion to terminate your access to the Memory Bank site at any time without notice.
