This is a picture of me with my grandmother, Babci. Her name was Sophie, but Babci is grandmother in Polish.
Babci had Alzheimer's disease and died in 1989. I was spared some of the odd things she said since she reverted back to speaking Polish. I only know a few words, including "na zdrowie" which means "cheers" or "to your health" and "dobja grish" which means "chew well".
