Daniel came to Canada with his mum Betty, his dad Andrew (nee McAdam) and his sister Jennifer. Here he is in 1994 - his McCloskey Elementary School in North Delta BC - picture and his little league baseball photo of the same year.

Daniel is Betty's son. His father is Andrew Sinclair (nee McAdam). Born in 1985 in Broxburn West Lothian. Daniel started school in a one-room school house in Fife that had a total of 17 pupils - yes the Sinclair men are back in Fife.  He loved the small school - after all he could ask his big sister anything when he got stuck.

Note the black-eye in this picture. Daniel was famous for his 'accidents'. This one was known as the 'low-flying aircraft incident' - where he threw a model aircraft, it bounced off a wall and came back and hit him in the eye.

Edward (Eddie) Sinclair arrived after the family had been in Stevenage for about 8 years. This photo shows the young lad with Robert's sister-in-law Jean. Jean and Robert's brother William (Bill) had infact gone south first and had told Robert that Stevenage was the place to be for a young family.  The word later spread to other parts of the family and soon there were almost as many of us in Stevenage as there were'back home'.

In 1950 going all the way from Glasgow to the south of England was almost as great an emigration move as going from Scotland to Canada today. The culture shock was huge and the Scots cleaved together - we seemed to know mainly Scottish people until Eddie and I went to school.
