Alzheimer's disease is one of those things that really makes you realize that you need to live your life in the moment. When preparing for my mother's memorial, and spending days going through her pictures, all the sad thoughts of her later years were eliminated. I was left with a great feeling of pride and satisfaction that my mother lived more in the years she had than many of us can hope for. I am sure it is the same as your father -- as seen by the joy in this photo.
